In 1967, Ralph Lauren founded his own brand under the name Polo Fashions Inc. (the company was later renamed Ralph Lauren Corporation) and launched his own line of ties. But it was Lauren who turned polo shirts into timeless wardrobe essentials.
The Polo Bear is another iconic emblem of the fashion house. As the story goes, the great designer was given a teddy bear wearing a full tailored Ralph Lauren outfit. And then the visionary businessman decided to launch the line of teddy bears under the name of Preppy Bear[3]. The first batch was completely sold out within a few days. Later, however, it became unprofitable to make toys, and the company decided to stop production. And then the successful entrepreneur decided to produce a clothing line featuring the branded teddy bear. Customers loved the collection, and it became a bestseller.
Ralph Lauren also contributed to the film industry. He was the costume designer for the 1974 adaptation of The Great Gatsby, starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.
Today, the Ralph Lauren Corporation continues to grow and evolve. The company offers a wide range of goods, including menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, as well as accessories, fragrances, and jewelry. Каких бы жизненных высот ты ни достиг и сколько бы денег ни заработал, всегда помни, что нужно оставаться человеком. К сожалению, некоторые люди, став успешными, меняются не в лучшую сторону. Правда в том, что не все выдерживают испытание богатством, властью и славой, которые раскрывают истинную сущность человека как лакмусовая бумажка. Ведь недаром говорят: «Хочешь узнать человека, дай ему власть». Некоторые люди, поднявшись по социальной лестнице, становятся высокомерными, бессердечными, эгоистичными и пренебрежительными к окружающим. Этот список можно продолжать.
