Итак, мы должны признать, что сознание – это инстинкт. Сознание – это часть жизни организма. Нам не надо учиться тому, как его производить и как им распоряжаться. Недавно, приехав в Чарлстон, мы с женой отправились на прогулку за город и решили поискать уютное местечко, где можно съесть хорошую жареную курочку с кукурузным хлебом. Нашли небольшое придорожное кафе, сделали заказ. Когда официантка уже уходила, я попросил: «Да – и добавьте еще кукурузную кашу». Она обернулась и с улыбкой ответила: «Кашу само собой, милый». Кукурузная каша входит в заказ – и то, что мы называем сознанием, тоже непременно прилагается. Так что нам повезло – мы получаем и то, и другое.
